Through our review of Biology questions that students already submit and in speaking with Biology subject matter experts, we see that there are really two types of questions that students may ask you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1996\" width=\"672\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image.png 631w, https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-300x130.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 672px) 100vw, 672px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We\u2019ll need to make sure that we\u2019re prepared to successfully take both types of questions and provide a great session experience for all students.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session Phases<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally speaking, the same session phases that we use in PhotoStudy will be the structure of these Biology sessions going forward. In order to accommodate the question types outlined above, we\u2019ll make some slight adjustments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-1-1024x479.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1997\" width=\"681\" height=\"317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-1-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-1-768x359.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 681px) 100vw, 681px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sessions will be capped at 20 minutes, but we anticipate that each session lasts approximately 10-15 minutes.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Best practices for conducting sessions<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know that we\u2019ll learn a lot as we conduct more sessions with real students. For now, here\u2019s a handy guide with some Best Practices to help you deliver great sessions! (Sample messages you can use are in <strong>PURPLE<\/strong> &#8211; when copying and pasting, be sure to remove the bullet points.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"693\" height=\"881\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1999\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-2.png 693w, https:\/\/wp.photostudy.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/image-2-236x300.png 236w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Some final reminders and guidelines\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you believe an image or diagram or drawing can enhance your explanation of the concept or the problem, you have a few options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Use the workspace drawing tools to create and send the drawing to the student<\/li><li>Use another drawing tool or application (perhaps Google Drawings), take a screenshot of your drawing and upload it to the student in the session<\/li><li>Find an image from the internet search, download it and upload it into the session to send to the student.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>When using an image from the internet be sure to give the location of the image proper attribution.<\/strong> Also, use images that are not text-heavy &#8211; remember you are the one that should be authoring the messages and not using an image to send text.
